Automatic and semi-automatic sliding shutters

Automatic and semi-automatic sliding shutters

Sliding shutters are designed to protect windows and room interiors from the effects of UV radiation during the day, reducing exposure to the sun and protecting against rising room temperatures. Positioning the shutters, blinds or slats at an angle of 45º is the optimum setting to achieve the desired degree of incoming light. Aluminium profiles are much more durable, both in terms of weather conditions and bending or damage, and above all they require no special maintenance. They only need to be cleaned with a damp cloth in contrast to classic PVC or wooden shutters. It resembles a window profile, but is less complicated: there is only one chamber and steel reinforcement in the shutter frame.

The colours of the PVC and aluminium shutters can be any colour - matching or contrasting with the colour of the windows or facades. Aluminium sashes are anodised or powder-coated, while PVC shutters can be stained or veneered. It is possible to combine different internal louvre materials.

Sliding shutters are mounted vertically on the wall outside the window or balcony. The shutter is moved along the opening on aluminium rails on special guides. The design of the sliding system allows the shutter to be stopped at any point. Automatic and semi-automatic systems are possible.

Roller blinds can be installed in individual window widths or in a set of e.g. 3 on larger windows to cover the entire width of the opening.
Buildings fitted with sliding blinds provide users with comfort and relaxation inside glazed rooms.

The materials and finishes used for the shutters (aluminium and PVC) are completely weatherproof, leaving the shapes and colours unchanged without the need for maintenance. Rain, humidity and sea salt have no effect on the quality of the materials used, the sliding shutter system allows sashes of considerable size to be created without damaging the deformability of the profiles. The aluminium sliding system ensures long-lasting use without inspection, adjustment or maintenance, unlike wooden blinds or PVC roller shutters.

Roller shutters are designed so that their components operate quietly. Their use in buildings enhances the architectural value of their facades, and the possibilities for designing and making such covers are virtually endless. To see more sliding shutter systems, please visit here.
