Aluminium external shutters from Zen Aluminium are made of the best quality aluminium profiles, fittings and mechanisms.

All our shutters are powder-coated by a company that holds QUALICOAT and ISO 9001 : 2000 certificates. The shutters are available in any RAL colour, anodised and in wood-like colours (DECOR). The texture of the wood is obtained using "sublimation" technology and does not differ from that of PVC windows in the same colours. When you buy ALUMINIUM shutters, you will never have to worry about their maintenance. The only thing you need to do is to wipe the shutters with a damp cloth when they get dusty.

Fixed dummy shutters
These are shutters filled with a profile reminiscent of fixed louvres, while there is no clearance between the louvres as there is in fixed louvre shutters. In this type of shutter there is no light flow when closed.
Fixed slat shutters
These are shutters in which the louvres are always in a fixed position downwards at an angle of approximately 30 degrees. In this type of shutter the inflow of light and air is constantly the same.
Shutters with movable slats
These are shutters equipped with a special system for moving lamellas, thanks to which we can regulate the inflow of light and air ourselves without opening the shutter. Each lamella is fitted with a special seal so that when the lamellas are closed, we have a completely sealed surface. With this type of lamellas, it is possible to use an automatic mechanism for opening and closing the lamellas.
Sliding shutters
These are shutters with rollers mounted in specially adapted guides. Sliding shutters can be manufactured with a stave panel, fixed dummy slats, fixed slats and movable slats.

in any configuration filling the sash frame, e.g. half a sash with fixed or movable slats and the other half with stave panel or vice versa.

Stave panelled shutters

These are shutters filled with a horizontal or vertical panel 100mm wide. In this type of shutter, when closed, we do not have an inflow of light.

This is the most classic type of shutter. The sashes are filled with oval slats located in a fixed position, at an angle of approximately 30 degrees. They restrict the sun's rays and protect against prying eyes to a large extent, but on the inside they provide a good view of the surroundings. With this type of shutter, when the sashes are closed, the flow of light and air is constantly the same.

Shutters with movable slats

These are shutters equipped with a special system for moving lamellas, thanks to which we can regulate the inflow of light and air ourselves without opening the shutter. Each lamella is fitted with a special seal so that when the lamellas are closed, we have a completely sealed surface. With this type of lamellas, it is possible to use an automatic mechanism for opening and closing the lamellas.

A convenient and comfortable solution. The shutters are equipped with a system of elements allowing the lamella units to rotate around their own axis and thus regulate the inflow of light and air without opening the shutter. The contact area of the lamellas is protected by a gasket that seals the system and causes it to operate softly. For maximum comfort, shutters with movable lamellas can be fitted with an electric mechanism for automatic lamella control. Another advantage of movable lamellas, which customers in particular point out, is the easy way of keeping the shutters clean. Once the lamellas are in the closed position, we obtain a smooth surface that is easy to maintain.

Aluminium external sliding shutters are very popular, chosen for their very high durability, light weight and ease of maintenance and use. The shutters are mounted on the wall above the window or in recesses to the ceiling on tracks. The user can choose single, double, triple or quadruple sliding aluminium shutters, selecting the required number of sashes according to their preferences and technical possibilities. All shutters manufactured by ZenAluminium are made to order. This means that the lengths of the profiles, their installation and positioning are subsidised to your building, in addition they are assembled by hand and are of very high quality and lower price because we use proprietary solutions. Sliding shutters protect our house from excessive sunlight, cold, noise and also from thieves. They are aesthetically pleasing, durable, weather-resistant (they do not rust, they are very easy to clean) and convenient to use. Although they are most often used as façade window covers, they can also be successfully used as casings for balconies, loggias or terraces. In addition to their basic utilitarian functions, they are also an interesting decoration. They look very good on the facades of modern houses.

We also offer any type of shutter infill. These may be either fixed or movable lamellas, which give the possibility of regulating the inflow of light and air without opening the shutter. Another option is to fill it with lamella-atraps or stave panels, which is mainly of decorative value.

Aluminium sliding shutters are powder-coated in any RAL colour. An interesting solution (unfortunately expensive) are models with safety glass infill - milky, patterned, tinted or even stained glass. Sliding shutters can be opened manually or by means of an automatic electric drive, controlled by remote control or smartphone. The closing effect can be seen in the video. In addition, they can be synchronised with alarm systems so that our home becomes a secure fortress in an instant. The automatic drives used in our shutters are characterised by high durability, extremely quiet operation and reliable operation in outdoor conditions.

In addition to their undeniable decorative qualities, sliding shutters are also very practical. These shutters protect rooms from excessive heat in summer, while in winter they are an additional barrier against the escape of valuable heat from the building. Thanks to the special positioning of the slats at a 45-degree angle, they diffuse the sun's rays, thus preventing glare on people in the room. Some models are fitted with a mechanism that allows the size of the slots to be adjusted - to larger, smaller or closed. In addition, sliding shutters ensure a constant exchange of air in the rooms, while protecting them from gusty winds. Solid shutters work differently; when closed, they do not allow light to pass through, but just as much limit the rise in temperature in the house. Last but not least, robust sashes and fittings also provide effective protection against burglary.
